Day 2 Frostburg, MD to Annapolis, MD

Another chilly morning met the 5 intrepid Ohio Morgan owners and our new friend from Parkersburg, WV. The Kneisley's, Miller's and Hahn's were first off about 8:45am, and the remaining three (Thompson, Kukuk's and Jordan's) pulled out a bit later. At our first gas stop we learned that the Thompson car suffered an ignition failure causing an immediate engine stop while moving 65 mph on I-68. Kukuk's turned around and came back to rescue her. Some investigation found a lose wire and she was soon on her way.

We arrived in Annapolis about noon and after checking in took a scenic drive to downtown Annapolis, home of the Naval Academy. Interesting shopping along the waterfront, and lots of great looking restaruants. We could only choose one, so we had lunch on the veranda at Middletown Tavern. Mussles, Oysters and crab cakes. Yumm.

Along the waterfront were a variety of interesting characters including Sneezer, the motorcycle riding dog and his master.

At 5 we took a shuttle bus to the Rams Head Brewpub for our kickoff dinner. New sweatsirts, hats and t-shirts had been distributed and we found a very convivial group. We pull out in the morning headed for Colonial Village and Williamsburg.
